A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine"

The wine list, recognised as one of the most outstanding lists in the country, has been personally chosen to compliment the food and we list nearly 250 bins as well as over 12 wines available by the glass.
The owners, Martin and Janette Bland have travelled the world to offer guests a wine list with a difference including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, California and Austria as well as nearer home to France, Spain and Italy. They have met and become friends with outstanding award winning producers which include Anthony Hamilton Russell of South Africa, Chester Osborn of d'Arenberg Wines, McLaren Vale, South Australia, John Forrest of Forrest Estate, New Zealand, Napa Valley, California and the wonderfully eccentric Willi Opitz of Austria "Dessert Wine Maker of the Year" , when they stayed for five days. They all have a passion for their work, making and producing stunning award winning wines.
Searching out the boutique wineries have earned the hotel much journalistic recognition including "A Wine Lovers Paradise" an article in Wine Magazine
"The food was outstanding, but St Tudno really excels with its wines. Janette and Martin Bland, owners of the hotel, have roamed the globe, establishing close links with many wineries, including d'Arenberg and Katnook Estate in Australia, Bouchard Finlayson and Hamilton Russell of South Africa, Lawsons Dry Hills in new Zealand and Willi Opitz in Austria. Accordingly, their wine list is full of both rare and medal winning wines of the highest quality.
The list runs to some 230 bins, covering 36 pages in total - not what you would expect from a seaside hotel. There is something for everyone with some very interesting wines in the £20-30 price spectrum, as well as top--end specialities such as Hidalgo Sherry and Champagnes from Bruno Paillard and Michel Arnould. The Blands' wine list also includes wines from more unusual countries such as Lebanon and Mexico" SHARON RUSTON
The wine cellar boasts an eclectic array of fine wines including Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Latour, Chateau D'Yquem as well as the New World stars Penfolds Grange Hermitage and d'Arenbergs The Dead Arm Shiraz from Australia. Most bottles are priced at £25.00 or less including our favourite New Zealand Rongapai, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir although the list starts at £12.50.
Periodically intimate wine evenings are arranged and producers and wine merchants are invited to host an evening to introduce new, exciting wines which compliment our head chef's stunning menus. Previous evenings have included a Pacific Rim Dinner and a Midsummer Marriage of Food and Wine. Please ask to be on the mailing list.
Informed staff will be happy to make suggestions to enhance your evening but please allow sufficient time to peruse the list, your time will be well rewarded.
