August Bank Holiday weekend is creeping closer and closer, and there’s lots of fun to be had and places to visit whilst you are visiting Llandudno and the surrounding area.
We have comprised a list of things not to miss whilst you are visiting this month.
TVWales Rock and Pop Music Festival
24th August – 26th August 2019, Llandudno Promenade
In its 7th year, TVWales is coming to Llandudno’s Promenade to host the annual international free rock and pop music festival which features emerging artists from the UK and USA as well as the very best North Wales talent and best cover bands from the North West.
The event takes place on 24th August 2019 from 12pm and ends on 26th August 2019 at 6pm. So, for a full bank holiday weekend of fun and live music be sure to pop over to the promenade.
Snowdon MG Run from Llandudno
18th August 2019, Llandudno Promenade
Between 8am and 4pm you will be able to experience the 200 classic MG cars that will parade around Llandudno for their annual charity run. The run is approximately 100miles long which goes through the mountains and valleys of Snowdonia and finishes in the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed.
If you’re out exploring on the day make sure you keep an eye out and wave them past as they are on their way.
North Wales Postcard Fair
17th August, Craig Y Don Community Centre
This dedicated Postcard Fair is the only one of its kind in North Wales. Organised by the North Wales Postcard Club, there is around 15 dealers offering cards suitable for beginners and established collectors. Even if you aren’t a collector it is a brilliant opportunity for you and the family to experience local and family history which cover almost every subject.
24th August – 26th August 2019, Anglesey
The name speaks for itself! This international wool festival is due to take place on bank holiday weekend at the Anglesey Showground. This three day festival is brand new this year and will showcase artisans from across North Wales, the UK and around the world. The festival is definitely a family friendly and fun celebration of all things woolly.
Not only will there be many stall holders selling all different kinds of wonderful makes, but there will also be a wide variety of skills and animals on show. Visitors will be able to experience the entire lifecycle of the woolly items, from sheep to finished product and even try out parts for themselves!
So, if you’re into crafting or looking for something for the whole family, why not go over to Anglesey where there is plenty of fun to be had.
Glamorgan Cricket Festival
18th August – 21st August 2019, Colwyn Bay Cricket Club
Every year Glamorgan County Cricket Club stage a cricket match at Colwyn Bay’s Cricket Club in Rhos-on-sea. This year Glamorgan County Cricket Club will play Lancashire County Cricket Club in a 4 day Championship match.
