If you are staying with the St Tudno Seafront Hotel this summer there is a whole host of wonderful attractions and Llandudno Events you can enjoy.
As a premier seafront hotel in Llandudno we offer stunning views of the Pier, Bay and Beach and we are always near to the action for the best events of the season.
If you are planning a holiday with us for this July and love great music then you are in luck because a brand new festival is debuting this 24th – 26th July. The Llandudno Jazz Festival is a new event on the Llandudno scene and aims to follow in the footsteps of the most famous Jazz extravaganzas such as the Appleby and Titley Jazz Festivals.
The Llandudno Jazz Festival will bring over 40 of the most talented jazz artists in the UK jazz circuit to our seaside town this summer, including big names like: Peter King, one of the best alto saxophonists in the country, Nikki Yeoh, winner of the Independent Jazz Musician of the Year Award, Clark Tracey, one of the UK’s leading jazz pianists, Esther Ambros, top Spanish jazz singer, famous UK jazz singer Anita Wardell and many more!
The main stage of performances will be held at Bodafon Farm, only a short walk from our hotel. Here you can experience the best of jazz music in a packed schedule for the whole weekend.
In addition to the exciting line up on the main stage there is also the Jazz Gardens bringing a host of even more jazz events and performances. Look out for Jam Stage hosted by top Manchester jazz musician Ed Kainyek. If you want to try out an instrument or suggest a song to these excellent artists head on down to the jazz gardens. There will be delicious food and drink outlets around too.
If you are looking to enjoy a different era of jazz then the multitude of fringe events throughout the town will be the place to go with amazing performances in dining venues, theatres and everywhere you can image. Ma Raney to Ella – The Jazz Song Tradition is the perfect event for those looking to explore the roots of traditional jazz and how it has evolved.
There will even be some free events as part of the Jazz Festival too with Mad Ed’s Hot Five, Jazz Rag Dixieland Band and Salute to Satchmo.
Beyond Bodafon Farm the festival extends into the town with top jazz performances at Venue Cymru, jazz performances on the band stand, Pier and Promenade, which is right in front of the St Tudno Seafront Hotel so you won’t have to venture far to enjoy the music. Mostyn Art Gallery is even getting involved in this music themed festival with its Contemporary Improvisation session on the Sunday.
There is so much to see and do at this incredible festival and we hope to see the event become a permanent feature on the Llandudno calendar following the likes of the Victorian Extravaganza and Arts Weekend. It is the perfect addition to the summer season and gives you yet another reason to see our wonderful resort this summer
We urge you to book your tickets soon and contact us to plan your accommodation with the St Tudno Hotel early while spaces last.
